Description:

We are exactly what our music portrays. Real guys, that write real songs. The music is a Hard Rock sound, with a hint of grunge, and laced with a metal edge. We don't claim to be a part of any specific genre, just a Rock n Roll band with a mission. That mission is to write solid tunes that we love first, and that will be liked in return by the friends and fans that choose to listen.

Started in August 2007, Decadence has consistently made a name for themselves. One the longest continuously tenured bands in the Columbia scene in recent times, they have through much hard work and dedication, become a mainstay in local music. They have shared the stage with countless national and regional acts, and played every kind of venue you could possibly play. Whether its lighting up the stage with acts such as Smile Empty Soul, Straight Line Stitch, and Rev Theory or doing a mini tour with Trust Company, they have been in the heat of things, and handled it well.

They have built a strong fan base around the state of South Carolina by playing any and every local venue possible, but also regionally, by playing stages such as The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, The Handlebar in Greenville, The Music Farm in Charleston, and many more. There goals are large, but made very obtainable by their unmatched drive and effort. Music is what they love, its their passion. Also, they never forget what provides them their opportunities, and that is their fans.

Founding member and vocalist/lyricist Josh Rowe, brings a fierce and memorable presence to the stage. Piercing lyrics and a style unmatched, are just a few things he takes pride in providing for the band. On guitar is where you will find Dustin Welch. He is a seasoned guitarist, who has put countless hours into making himself and the band better. No task is too tall for him, and he has definitely left his mark. Chris Goodman is the drummer for Decadence. He has 10+ years of experience in various bands, and it shows in his ability to create in the band. Serving as more than just the drummer, he helps to orchestrate every track through his knowledge and experience. And finally, with bassist Ryan Wicker, the band becomes complete. He provides the all too important low end, and does it with great precision. With all these guys having many years of experience in the music business, they are ready to cash in on their hopes and dreams.

Their first album The Fall was released in January 2010. They had moderate success throughout the year, and really set a standard to build upon. Songs such as Not Me and These Scars have become staples in their live performances and garnered moderate radio play on various stations. They are now prepared to release their sophomore effort in mid to late 2011. It is sure to be packed with great tunes, that will take everyone by storm. This year is setting up to be a great year for Decadence, so be sure you get onboard and take part in the madness!!!
